Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

Hassan & Hassan LLP (“Hassan & Hassan,” “the firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, our telephone and text-messaging services, and our contact channels, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the website at www.hassanllp.com and to communications you have with the firm.

By using our website or by providing your information to us — including your mobile number — you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information we collect

We collect only the information we need to respond to you and to provide legal services:

  • Contact details you give us — such as your name, email address, mailing address, and phone or mobile number — when you complete our enquiry form, email us, call us, or text us.
  • The content of your messages, including details you choose to share about your matter (please keep first contact general and save confidential details for a consultation).
  • Mobile number and consent records when you opt in to receive text messages from us, including the date, method, and scope of your consent.
  • Basic technical information your browser sends automatically when you visit the site, such as your approximate location and device or browser type, used only to keep the site secure and working.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and arrange or conduct a consultation.
  • Provide, manage, and deliver legal services once you become a client.
  • Send you service and case-related communications, such as appointment reminders, document requests, and status updates, by email, phone, or text where you have agreed to it.
  • Send you firm updates or promotional messages only where you have given us express consent to receive them.
  • Meet our professional, regulatory, and legal obligations, and keep our records and website secure.

Text messaging (SMS/MMS)

The firm may communicate with you by text message (SMS/MMS) using RingCentral, our telephone and messaging provider. Text messaging is always optional.

Consent: We send text messages only after you opt in — for example, by giving us your mobile number and agreeing to be texted through our enquiry form, in writing, or verbally on a recorded or documented basis. For any promotional or marketing texts, we obtain your express written consent first. We keep a record of your consent and never text a number that has not opted in.

What we send and how often: Depending on what you have agreed to, messages may include appointment and case reminders, replies to enquiries you start, document or information requests, and — with your express consent — occasional firm updates. Message frequency varies based on your matter and your interactions with us.

Cost: Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile carrier plan. The firm does not charge you for text messages.

  • To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any message at any time. We will send one confirmation and then stop, except for messages you specifically request afterward.
  • For help, reply HELP, or contact us at info@hassanllp.com or 343-500-7395.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opting out of text messages does not remove you from email or telephone contact, and does not affect the legal services we provide.

Mobile information and third parties

No mobile information — including your phone number and your SMS opt-in and consent — will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share your information with the service providers that help us operate, such as RingCentral, solely to deliver the messages and services you have asked for. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from any other sharing and are never sold, rented, or traded.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We disclose it only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers who process information on our behalf under confidentiality obligations — for example, RingCentral for telephone and messaging, and our email and website hosting providers — and only as needed to provide their service to us.
  • Where you direct us to, or as reasonably required to carry out the legal work you retain us for.
  • Where required or permitted by law, by a court, or by our professional and regulatory obligations, including those of the Law Society of Ontario.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here and to meet our legal and professional record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely destroyed or de-identified.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission over the internet or by mobile network is completely secure, so please do not send confidential or sensitive details through the website form or by text.

Your choices and rights

You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and out of promotional email using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Subject to legal and professional limits, you may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask a question about how it is handled, by contacting us using the details below.

Cookies, links, and children

Our website uses only the minimal technical data needed to serve and secure the site; it is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority. Our site may link to third-party websites that have their own privacy practices, for which we are not responsible.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its “last updated” date. Continued use of our website or messaging after an update means you accept the revised policy.
